The Use of NanoZorb™ Technology in CBD

Nanotechnology has reached the CBD field in full force, and we at CBD Products are excited about it. The exacting nature of the science significantly impacts the nature of CBD absorption and efficacy. More specifically, the exacting nature of NanoZorb™ technology brings even greater impact.

Nanotechnology in CBD

Starting with the basics, nanotechnology is the science of constructing and deconstructing matter on an incredibly tiny atomic, molecular, and supramolecular scale—the nanoscale, to be precise, which is 1 to 100 nanometers (a nanometer is one-billionth of a meter). As we explained in our earlier post, “What Is Nanotechnology and How Does It Affect Absorption?,” in CBD production nanotechnology is used to create specific liposomes or lipid nanoparticles that help stabilize the fat-soluble CBD molecules, protecting them from degradation by exposure to gastric juices, so that they can be absorbed better in water and throughout our bodies. In practice, CBD molecules get broken down into smaller components, then coated with a layer of these nanoparticles, which keep the CBD in the bloodstream for longer and increase overall absorption. One 2017 study found that nano CBD, as it’s called after this process, can provide a 600-percent increase in bioavailability compared to normal CBD, meaning people can potentially feel the effects of nano CBD much faster and for longer.

What is NanoZorb™ technology?
